 Nach dem, ich weiß nicht wie vielten Versuch, doch noch eine Kette zu häkeln...

... der natürlich wieder zum scheitern verurteilt war, musste ein schneller Erfolg her.

Da boten sich die little lantern von Sabine Lippert aus ihrem
Buch Fantasien aus Perlen an.

I don't remember how often I tried to crochet a necklace without success. How frustrating!

Karneval in Venedig / Carnival in Venice

Ich habe endlich mein Talma fertig genäht.
Das ist ein viktorianisches Cape und für die
Abdeckung der hinteren Naht  schwebte mir
eine embroiderte Verzierung vor. Meine Freundin
Anna meinte, es sähe aus wie eine Maske im
venezianischen Karneval.

I finally finished sewing my Talma.

Festtagskette / festive day necklace

Ich hoffe, ihr habt alle ein Frohes Weihnachtsfest gehabt.

Ist es gerecht, wenn man gerade einen grippalen Infekt hatte, 
und noch nicht mal eine Woche später den Nächsten bekommt?

Der passende Ring / the matching ring

Für die Kette brauche ich natürlich auch einen passenden Ring.
Gefertigt aus einer Ringschiene, einem Armbanduhren-Innenleben
Metallfarben und Glitzersteinen.

For the necklace of course I need a matching ring.
Made of a ring rail, a wristwatch inside, metal  colors
 and rhinestones.

Steamy-sun Kette / steamy-sun necklace

Für einen viktorianischen Rock, den ich gerade selbst nähe,
brauchte ich noch eine schöne Kette.
Und da kam mir die "Golden sun" von Petra Tismer gerade recht.

For a Victorian skirt I just even sew,
I still needed a nice chain.

Die Anleitung entstammt der Bead&Button August 2003, die Fimoperlen habe ich selbst gemacht.
Und weil das Armband so wuschelig ist, mich beim fädeln eine Menge
Nerven gekostet hat und ich es mit dem Ausdruck "Du doofe Seegurke"
 beschimpft habe, blieb halt der Name.

Lange, lange hat das Armband halbfertig herumgelegen.

neues Haustier / new pet

Fimo ist ein faszinierendes Material.
Dieses steampunkige Haustier entstand aus Fimo soft und vielen Dingen
aus dem Baumarkt, diversen Zahnrädern und Schmuckzubehör.
Es gehört zur Spezies 

Pterygota metallum gigantus

und ist mit einer Länge von 15cm und einer Flügelspannweite von 14cm
tatsächlich ganz schön groß.
Nach einiger Zeit gelang es mir, es zu zähmen, so dass es auch längere
Zeit still an meinem Dekollete sitzt.

Fimo is a fascinating material.
This steamy pet made with Fimo soft and many things
from the hardware store, various gears and jewelry accessories.
It belongs to the species

 Pterygota metallum gigantus

and with a length of 15cm and a wingspan of 14cm

In drei Wochen ist es soweit. Dann sind meine neuen Ohrlöcher verheilt und
belastbar und ich kann endlich die Welt der wunderbaren Ohrringe erkunden.

Als ich die ersten Petulas fertig hatte,  fand ich die so putzig, dass ich noch
mehr Farbkombinationen ausprobieren musste.

Ich bin lange um die Anleitung herumscharwenzelt.
Aber weil ich das Teil so toll fand, hat der

Lieblingsplätze - favorite spots

Meine beiden Katzen sind so verschieden wie Tag und Nacht.
Die Kätzin Lili ist dumm und instinktgesteuert,
der Kater bauernschlau und kaloriengesteuert.


Lili hat nur zwei Lieblingsplätze: das eine Sofa und das Andere.
Bei Pablo wechseln alle paar Tage seine Vorlieben.
Das kann der Platz vor der Balkontür sein, aber auch mein Bett,
der Computertisch oder mein Bauch, wenn ich auf dem Sofa liege.


Sein momentaner Schlafplatz ist:

 My two cats are as different as night and day.
The she-cat Lili is stupid and driven by instinct,
the tomcat Pablo peasant cunning and calorie controlled.

Lili has only two favorite places: one sofa and the other.
Pablo's preferences change every few days.
This may be the place in front of the balcony door, but also my bed,
the computer desk or my belly when I'm lying on the sofa.

His current roost is:

                          Nochmal eine Blume von Orsinka, an die Kette gelegt
                          für ein buntes Sommerkleid.

Rhodonit trifft Metallic / Rhodonit meets metalic

Diesen Rhodonit habe ich irgendwann mal auf einen Mittelaltermarkt
gekauft. Wo auch sonst - kicher!
Kombiniert habe ich ihn mit diversen Metallic-Perlen.

Haarspange / hairslide

Im März habe ich der Tochter einer ehemaligen Arbeitskollegin ganz 
spontan eine Haarspange versprochen.
Der erste Entwurf kam über die Theorie nicht hinaus, der Zweite
entpuppte sich als nicht umsetzbar.
Hier nun der Dritte.

Byzantinisch / byzantine

Chainmaille im byzantinischen Stil fand ich schon
immer toll. Aber das sah soo kompliziert aus.
Dank der tollen Anleitung aus der Perlenpoesie Nr.13
war es dann aber ganz einfach.

Und weil ich noch Jumpringe über hatte, reichte es auch noch für Ohrringe

Wenn man embroidert, muss man zwangsläufig immer mal wieder Pausen
einlegen, bis der Kleber auch wirklich durchgetrocknet ist.
Also habe ich mal meine To do Liste weiter abgearbeitet.
 Auf der stand ganz oben die Dilo Kette von Pencio
Und die geht wirklich schnell - an einem Abend war sie fertig.
Und sie liegt wirklich klasse am Hals.

So I have my to do list once processed further.
At the top of the list was the Dilo from Pencio.
And the beading goes really fast - on a night it was ready.
And it feels so good on my neck.

Teelichter / tealight

Nachdem meine Camera ja nicht nur mit der Original-
wiedergabe der Farben immer mehr Mühe hatte, sondern
nun auch noch keine scharfen Makroaufnahmen mehr
zustande brachte, gab es nach 17 Jahren eine Neue.


Ach ich bin ganz verliebt in meine Minolta.

Meine Freundin möchte gerneTeelichter ohne
Weihnachtsmotiv. Vorgabe waren die Farben 
Rot, Hämatit und Silber. Ansonsten hatte ich freie Hand.

Hier das Ergebnis

After my camera not only had more and more trouble with the original

Einige von euch wissen ja, dass ich ein häkelnder Rohrkrepierer bin.
Sprich: ich kann es nicht!
Ich wollte aber so gerne eine Häkelkette haben.
Also habe ich es noch einmal versucht. Das Ergebnis war desaströs.
Aber ich habe ja die liebe Gardyperle. 
Die Perlchen habe ich ausgesucht und aufgefädelt, gehäkelt hat Irmi
und endmontiert habe ich sie.

Some of you know that I am a crocheting pop and no kick

So I tried it again. The result was disastrous.

der rasante Ring / the rapid ring

Rasant, weil dieser Ring in 70 Minuten fertig war.

Anleitung habe ich keine, habe ihn auf einem Blog gesehen und

nach gefädelt.

Dieser Ring sieht sogar an kurzen Fingern gut aus.

Verwendet habe ich 11'' Delicas, 11'' und 8'' Rocs und 3mm

Glasschliffperlen.
